The Cook Street Village Activity Centre is a non-profit organization offering social, educational and recreational activities for persons of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds.  Membership is open to anyone 50+ years, as we cater primarily to those of “mature adult” status.

Consumer Protection BC

Description: Consumer Protection BC promotes a fair marketplace for BC consumers and businesses. We were established in 2004 as a not-for-profit corporation to strengthen consumer protection in BC. We operate using a cost recovery model and we are the only organization of its kind in Canada.

Consumer Protection BC's mandate is to:
Deliver consumer protection services throughout British Columbia;
Promote fairness and understanding in the marketplace; and
Enforce consumer protection laws in BC.

Additional Information: Consumer Protection BC establishes policies and procedures to guide its operations and achieve its objectives effectively and efficiently. These policies ensure a consistent approach to administration and the fair and uniform treatment of all licensees, businesses and consumers. The following policies and procedures have been approved by Consumer Protection BC's Executive and are consistent with legislative requirements and with the administrative agreement with government.

COAST is a weekly drop-in for older adults. Coffee, board games, and guest speakers! Royal Oak Neighbourhood House is operated by Saanich Neighbourhood Place.
